B015 - Shimazu Yoshihiro Samurai Armour


Made in honor of Shimazu Yoshihiro of the Shimazu clan who was said to have fought in 52 battles over the course of his life and was an strong and able leader. In 1572, Yoshihiro led 300 men and defeated Itô Yoshisuke's 3,000 in what is sometimes called the "Okehazama of Kyushu". Over the next 10 years he would continue lead and fight with his men in victory after victory until he was named daimyô following the submission of the Shimazu to Hideyoshi in 1587. He led 10,000 men in the First Korean Campaign (1592-93).

The armour comes with a traditional box and stand for storage or display.
