Waraji Sandals


Waraji were worn outdoors. The grip was good in wet weather and often a spare pair would be carried on the belt.

Traditionally, the Japanese samurai would wear the waraji with their toes protruding slightly over the front edge. However, there are no set rules or guidelines on wearing waraji.

Soak in cold water before wearing them
